Nate Diaz vs. Michael Johnson added to UFC on Fox 17
Nate Diaz is back, ladies and gentlemen, with the UFC announcing Monday night that Stockton, California’s native son will return to the Octagon on December 19 at UFC on Fox 17. Diaz’s persona in the media often leads to heavy criticism by fans, but he also has a somewhat cult following, as does older brother Nick, for his honesty and sometimes reckless attitude.

UFC on Fox 17 will be headlined by a lightweight title fight featuring champion Dos Anjos and Cerrone, as well as an interesting middleweight fight between Tamdan McCrory and Josh Samman.
Johnson is actually coming off a loss himself, however it came via a highly controversial split decision verdict against Beneil Dariush earlier this month, with many believing he’d done enough to get the victory himself. I don’t have to hope that it’s going to happen.
“He can’t help but talk sh-t”, Johnson said, while discussing the fact that Diaz will likely throw some verbal shots his way during the fight as well. I can’t wait for him to start running his mouth.
So, it’s definitely about time that Diaz got his career back on track and that’ll be easier said than done against a star on the rise in Michael Johnson. “I’ll egg him on a little bit”.
Regardless of his ranking, Nate is still one of the best lightweights in the world.

Johnson expects he and Diaz will both me moving forward and won’t give any ground when they meet in the cage. A lightweight title fight between dos Anjos and Donald Cerrone will serve as the main event.
