Nathan Fillion Had The Best Reaction To Castle’s Cancellation
“Castle” season 8, episode 22 will be the last ever episode for the once-hit ABC series.

Castle was also surprisingly cut on the heels of alleged contention between stars Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic, the latter of whom was unexpectedly fired after this past season.
This article contains spoilers for Castle season 8 finale episode (Episode 22) If you do not want to know in advance, please skip this. On Twitter, the actor said that as with anything, “all things must end”.
Stana told told Deadline at the time: ‘Rather then distract from what was an wonderful experience, I would just like to say that I’m very grateful to ABC for giving me the opportunity to be a part of a much beloved show.
“Castle” stars Nathan Fillion as Richard Castle, Stana Katic as NYPD Detective Kate Beckett, Tamala Jones as Medical Examiner Lanie Parish, Jon Huertas as NYPD Detective Javier Esposito, Seamus Dever as NYPD Detective Kevin Ryan, Molly Quinn as Alexis Castle with Susan Sullivan as Martha Rodgers. Rumors were that Fillion and Katic did not get along on set and that was why her dismissal from the series was announced a few weeks ago.
Stana also posted a message to the cast and crew of the show, thanking them for their support.
Meanwhile, ABC has yet to renew the series for season 9.
“I’m lucky to have met and worked with and for the lot of you”, she wrote.
“Castle” won’t be going forward without its leading lady, after all.

Katic responded with her own statement, saying, “Rather than distract from what was an unbelievable experience I would just like to say that I’m very grateful to ABC for giving me the opportunity to be a part of a much beloved show”.
There is one scene in the preview that hinted LokSat kidnapped Rick in order to lure Kate to an undisclosed location, and he admitted that he was planning on killing the cop as a way to get revenge for her investigation.
