Natick Teens Escape Limo That Burst Into Flames On Way To Prom

Prom night heated up in an unexpected way for nearly a dozen Natick High School students last night when the white limo that was supposed to whisk them to the big dance suddenly burst into flames.

The limo was near the intersection of Brook and Union streets when the Natick High School students inside suddenly smelled smoke around 6 p.m.

A limo outside of Boston burst into flames, and the driver and students inside escaped without injury.

“I saw smoke between the dashboard and windshield”, Yasir Sati told ABC Boston affiliate WCVB.

‘I pulled over and just told everyone to get out’.

A limousine on the way to a prom burst into flames in Natick Friday night. “It started to get really big, and then it looked like it was going to explode”. Firefighters were able to put out the fire, but it did relight a second time.

It’s unknown what sparked the fire. Natick Police and Natick Fire said on Saturday they did not know the cause of the fire and could not confirm whether the limo had caught on fire again after being towed.

The start to prom night went up in flames for ten high school students in MA whose limousine caught fire on the way to the big dance Friday night.
