Nation all set to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha with religious fervor
The day dawned with special prayers in mosques for the well-being of the Muslim Ummah and progress, prosperity, safety and security of the country.

President said Allah Almighty afterwards made this sacrifice a mandatory act for the affluent Muslims, who follow this practice in pursuance of Allah’s commandment.
He prayed Allah Almighty to enable “us to celebrate this Eid in its true spirit and accept the sacrifices”.
PTI reported that Sharif offered Eid prayer along with other family members in the mosque at his Raiwind residence here.
In Gilgit Eid prayer was offered at Konodas Eid gah, Eidgah Jamia Imamia and Shah Karim Hostel.
Four Eid congregations were already held at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque at 7 am, 8 am, 9 am and 10 am, while another will be held at 10:45 am. Tens of thousands of devotee from home and overseas joined the crowd.
Muslims in the capital city and elsewhere across the country started celebrating Eid-ul-Azha, their second largest religious festival, amid rains on Tuesday morning.
Police have taken stringent security measures for Eid following the militant attack on a police checkpost near Sholakia Eidgah in Kirshoreganj on the day of Eid-ul-Fitr on July 7 last.
He said Eid-ul-Azha was a gift from the Almighty to the Muslims after the sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS), who sacrificed his son Hazrat Ismael (AS).
Dedicating this year’s Eidul Azha to the endless sacrifices of Kashmiris, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif pledged to dedicate all coming Eids to the people of Kashmir till the resolution of dispute in accordance with their wishes.
State-run Bangladesh Television and Bangladesh Betar and other TV channels and radio stations are airing special programmes. On the day, improved diets were served at hospitals, prisons, orphanages, safe homes and shelter centers.
In Quetta, Eid prayers were offered at more than two hundred places while the main Eid prayer congregation was held at Eid-gah Toghi road. Of those, DSCC organised 228 congregations and DNCC 180.

All the preparations for peaceful holding of the Eid congregations have already been completed across the country, including the capital and Sholakia in Kishoreganj.
