National Anthem – Super Bowl 2016
We’ve known for some time now that Lady Gaga has been working on her fifth studio album – the follow-up to 2013s ARTPOP, but she confirmed that she is in the final stages of the album yesterday.

The kooky singer – who recently won a Golden Globe for her portrayal of The Countess in American Horror Story: Hotel – took to the field in a dazzling ruby suit. Well done, Lady Gaga, well done.
Showing her patriotism in a red sparkly suit, matching eyeshadow, blue nails and flag-patterned platform shoes, Lady Gaga wowed everyone as she belted out “The Star-Spangled Banner“.
Lady Gaga brought her own personal style to the National Anthem, while also keeping things very traditional. Skip to 0:37 of the video below to get started. While talking about her preparations, she said that she learnt what lyrics mean and sang the anthem from her heart, which is the reason the anthem came out so pure, honest, and powerful – just the way national anthem should sound.
In the middle of the performance, a single tear could be seen rolling down her face but as Gaga is the consummate pro, she managed to effortlessly wipe it away and power through.
It was an emotional performance, with Gaga herself visibly tearing up.
“Another tweeted: “@ladygaga you absolutely killed it. Definitely one of, if not the best performance of the National Anthem at the super bowl ever”.
The pre-game show was spectacular and the half-time show featuring Beyoncé, Coldplay and Bruno Mars. Lady Gaga knocked it out of the park and had everyone at the stadium on their feet, as her operatic rendition left millions with Goosebumps simultaneously. Make no mistake: That was her voice in a prerecorded version that was, no doubt, flawless and impeccable.

The superstar received praise from fans and fellow celebrities for the performance, which Gaga called “one of the highest honors” of her career.
