National Basketball Association announcer Craig Sager to have rare 3rd bone marrow transplant
The Associated Press reported that Barkley traveled from Phoenix to Houston against strict doctor’s orders to stay put and recover from his own hip replacement surgery.

Veteran sports broadcaster Craig Sager will be undergoing his third bone marrow transplant in his ongoing battle with leukemia. Sager underwent his third bone marrow transplant Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2016, as he continues to battle acute myeloid leukemia. But according to the Associated Press, Stacy caught a cold just days before her husband’s transplant and was told by doctors that she had to say away to protect his health.

“My calculations, if I get my recovery act together, I’ll be back for opening night of the National Basketball Association season”, Sager said. “When you go to try and cheer him up his attitude is so upbeat he cheers you up”.
On Thursday morning, Sager’s son, Craig Jr., tweeted a photo of what appears to be a successful bone marrow transplant. This time, the anonymous 20-year-old donor was considered a ideal match.
“Thanks to an anonymous donor, tmrw my Dad will enter an unimaginable milestone w/ his 3rd bone marrow/stem cell transplant in a 3year span”, the younger Sager wrote.
“OK, third time’s the charm”, Sager said moments after the process began.
