National Basketball Association free agency rumors: Latest on Kevin Durant to Knicks
Meetings between Durant and the Warriors, Spurs, Clippers, Heat and Celtics are reportedly slated for NY locations, so Durant and Anthony hanging out in the Big Apple shouldn’t be too much of a surprise.

Golden State, meanwhile, believe their recent collapse in the NBA Finals to the Cleveland Cavaliers, in which they became the first team in Finals history to squander a 3-1 series advantage, has increased their chances to land Durant, according to ESPN.
At 27 years old, Durant is still yet to reach his peak but is considered one of the best players in the league today. Since Melo has joined the USA Olympic team, he has been spending a lot of time with Durant as they have been practicing together. Other teams are making their push as well, including the Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics, and the New York Knicks. It is just going to be a meeting between the teams’ representatives and Roc Nation in New York City where Durant’s team is based.
This news will particularly sting those Wizards fans who went out of their way to try and lure Durant to D.C. during the last few seasons.
All the news on the megastar’s free agency.
Many teams are now wooing Oklahoma City Thunder’s Kevin Durant to join their roster.
Free agency doesn’t officially start until Friday at 12:01 a.m., but the league office typically does not police such player interactions, since Anthony and Durant are obviously longtime friends who stay in frequent contact during the season. San Antonio is no mean a platform than Golden State Warriors or the Oklahoma City Thunder in this regard. He’s going to make the best decision for him.
Durant is coming of a season in which he averaged 28 points, five assists and eight rebounds per game.
Speaking at the release of his new signature shoes the KD9 this past Monday, Durant told ESPN.com of his upcoming decision: “I’m anxious about basketball”.

The week of free agency is upon us and Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical gave a fairly expansive update on what the Durant situation looks like right now. “I’m glad he’s on my team now”. For now, the Heat have put Whiteside on the back burner, waiting to see how their pitch with Durant goes.
