National Basketball Association free agent rumors: Knicks not on Kevin Durant’s list of teams
Know this much about the Kevin Durant free agency sweepstakes that has already unofficially begun: He wouldn’t be taking a single meeting outside of Oklahoma City if he already knew what jersey he planned to wear next season.

Yahoo sports reported that Durant’s representatives are working to solidify invitations for meetings to take place in NY that would include the Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Clippers and Miami Heat. If Durant were to leave Oklahoma City in free agency this summer, here are the five teams that fans of his would absolutely hate to see him sign with. Meanwhile, the San Antonio Spurs look like the dark horse threat. A contract of this nature would allow Durant, 27, the leverage to opt out in 2017, when another significant league-wide salary-cap rise is expected to occur.
Kevin Durant, perhaps the most coveted free agent since LeBron James in 2010, reportedly will meet with six teams in the next week. However, in a recent interview by The Oklahoman with several agents, it was revealed that the Heat and the Warriors are the only ones left on the discussion table. If Pat Riley sticks to his point of retaining the free agent center is the franchise’s priority, there is no chance for Miami to acquire Kevin Durant. “It’s too hard to justify a move to Los Angeles (Lakers) or NY because they are not close to winning”. However, Durant will have a long list of suitors once he is able to meet with teams on July, 1. Even the DeAndre Jordan saga elevated his star and led to him becoming a first-team All-NBA player.
Durant is expected to make a decision by July 9, when he leaves the country for a publicity tour to the Far East. They’re trying to secure a meetings and become a seventh team.
One of the teams that is being rumored as the landing-place of Durant are the Boston Celtics. I think Los Angeles is off the list in my opinion.
They’re a 73-win team and are on a path of greatness and will continue to remain great.

The 6-foot-9, 240-pound Durant, a seven-time All Star, has averaged 27.4 points per game over his National Basketball Association career, and was named the league’s MVP following the 2013-14 season.
