National Basketball Association Preview
The Orlando Magic had a sterling comeback against the Houston Rockets on Sunday night, but one thing that was truly glaring in their preseason win was their lack of defense.

Reports disclosed that James Harden incurred his injury during a particularly aggressive fast break run against the Orlando Magic.

Harden scored 12 points before exiting in a 123-119 loss. When asked about Harden’s knee after the game, Coach Kevin McHale said that he did not have any additional information on Harden’s injury. He averaged 27.4 points and seven assists per game a year ago. The Magic game was Harden’s third preseason game so far. Last season the shooting guard played in 81 games for the Rockets. For the sake of wanting to watch one of the basketball’s best players be at his peak this season, let’s hope he recovers from this quickly and that it isn’t something that lingers. Before that, he played his previous three seasons for the Oklahoma City Thunder, where he put up good numbers for them, but not great numbers. Even if the injury isn’t that serious and really is nothing more than a contusion, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Rockets sit their star guard for their next couple of preseason games as well. That’s 100 percent given all the things that happened last season.
