Happy Thanksgiving! It’s that time again, when we move into the Holiday Season. It’s a tradition that spans centuries.

But for those ambitious types who would like to cut their own tree, the farm provides hand saws.
“Every year, we add different things”, Michelle said.
A farm that Jack Murray started in the 1940s, Southern Christmas Trees teamed up with Trees for Troops in 2005 and ships off as many as 200 trees to veterans across the world each year.
Thackerson said it’s a family tradition to pull all the decorations out and decorate each year. After the holiday season, real trees are also recyclable and biodegradable, Parker said.

Kevin Mullins, from left, the Tullahoma Kiwanis Club member leading the Christmas tree fundraiser, talks with Jamie Hall and Jonathan Searson about one of the trees.
Mullins listed Habitat for Humanity, the Tullahoma Day Care Center, Haven of Hope and Special Olympics as examples of the area charities that will benefit from this year’s Christmas tree sale.
This weekend hundreds of families headed to St. Joe Christmas Tree Farm in search of the flawless tree.
