National Football League forum on Chargers move set for tonight
The Chargers are also watching a citizens’ initiative to commit the City of Sna Diego to a new San Diego stadium on the bay, south of the Center City.

A spokesman for Mayor Kevin Faulconer said Monday the city was not surprised by relocation news from the Chargers, but said the city will continue to work with the National Football League to keep the team in San Diego. However, their current city isn’t ready to give up on them quite yet. The design released today has been refined to emphasize all that makes San Diego a unique place.
· Lifestyle and Weather – San Diego’s outdoor lifestyle and lovely year-round weather is embraced by enormous end zone party decks that total 70,000 square feet. There are also multiple 360-degree concourses which create informal spaces for fans to gather and watch the game.
· Culture of Innovation – To celebrate San Diego’s culture of innovation, the latest technology will be incorporated throughout the stadium. That trio of pass-catchers has combined for nine touchdown receptions, and all three players have averaged more than 11 yards per catch to round out the league’s best passing offense. The seating areas would be split into valleys and mesas, and set up as neighborhoods to provide distinct fan experiences. “By designing for the city’s strengths, the stadium will transcend generations and bring fans together around a handsome city and a shared passion for football”.
The San Diego Chargers need a win in the worst way after losing five of their last six games.

Stan Kroenke, the owner of the St. Louis Rams, has plans to build a stadium in Inglewood, near Los Angeles global Airport, while the Chargers, who have been asking for a replacement for aging Qualcomm Stadium for around 15 years, have acquired property in Carson on which they could build a stadium – possibly in conjunction with the Oakland Raiders. The mayor’s office told NBC that a downtown stadium is possible, “but the timeline of getting a downtown stadium would be much longer, and likely more expensive than Mission Valley”. The meeting is part of the NFL’s standard procedure when assessing whether to allow a team to change cities.
