National Football League mock draft: Jalen Ramsey to San Diego Chargers
According to The Tennessean’s John Glennon, a defensive back hasn’t been taken with the first pick since 1970.

Peter King of the MMQB claimed that the Titans are receiving plenty of interests in their top pick, adding that there is a chance Tennessee will trade the rights to pick first in the 2016 NFL Draft.
Joeckel on the other hand had played for Texas A&M where Johnnny Manziel was beginning his reign as the must-watch prospect in college football. But he isn’t a classic downhill left tackle, which the Titans want; they just traded for bullish back DeMarco Murray and want to run the ball significantly. Fans of teams like Jacksonville Jaguars and Green Bay Packers might want to see their teams move up as well, but it is very unlikely.
Chase Goodbread of NFL.com this week pegged the 49ers as the most likely of five teams that might trade up with the Titans to get the No. 1 choice (followed by the Browns, Cowboys, Rams and Eagles).
Here’s a look at four candidates for the Titans with the No. 1 pick and another possible target if they manage to trade down and still target an offensive tackle, all listed in our estimation of least likely to most likely.
Truthfully, any mock draft would tell you that there are so many scenarios that could play out, but the only reason the Eagles would have to trade up would be if they were actually in the market for a quarterback and if there was some fear that the quarterback they were looking for wouldn’t be available once the eighth pick came around.
Moreover, this is just another piece of mounting evidence that the 49ers are ready to move on from Colin Kaepernick, who is due $11.9 million this season and is recovering from three surgeries he has had since November.
What makes San Francisco so open to the idea is the fact they have the picks to spare. The Broncos would love that. Or that the Titans don’t need a quarterback because they selected Marcus Mariota second overall in 2015. There is a lot of talent on the roster, except at the quarterback spot, which continues to be the weak spot on the depth chart. It all comes down to finding the right deal to work with and not trading too far down in the 2016 NFL Draft. If this is true, the Eagles could still take one of the top two quarterbacks in the draft without moving. With the 49ers in full-on rebuilding mode, they need to really make wise and strong decisions in this year’s draft, or they risk extending the time they’ll spend in the dregs of the league.

Here, we’ll take a look at five options for the Titans if they do decide to pull the trigger on one of these trades. With this latest round of National Football League rumors about the Tennessee Titans having a willingness to move the No. 1 pick, it could lead to a number of counter-moves by teams drafting in the first round.
