National Football League of the Week: No, not that QB controversy
Zimmer said Hill was disappointed the Vikings made the move for Bradford, acquiring him from the Eagles days after starting quarterback Teddy Bridgewater sustained a dislocated knee and torn knee ligament. If Sam Bradford can help bring this team to the next level during the 2016 season, Spielman could look like a genius for this gutsy trade.

“The number of starts (he’s had), he’s a very intelligent quarterback, he’s face this defense before”, Mularkey said when asked why he thought Bradford would be Minnesota’s Week 1 starter, via ESPN’s Ben Goessling.
Hill, a 15-year National Football League veteran, says he will be ready if his number is called, and believes the team added a “great player” trading for Bradford.
As reported by CBS Sports, the Vikings were able to solve their missing quarterback problem during the weekend by entering in a trade deal with the Eagles. He didnt rule out Bradford, either, with the game at Tennessee six days away.
“What really was significant for us was the second year of the contract with Sam”, Spielman said.
When news struck about the loss of quarterback Teddy Bridgewater due to a devastating knee injury, fans and the media were wondering just how much impact his loss would have on the Minnesota Vikings 2016 season. He said competing for a starting job is nothing new for him.
“It felt better (Monday) than it did (Sunday), that’s for sure, ” Bradford said.
After last week’s preseason game (before Bradford arrived) Peterson said he took it upon himself to pick up the slack. Immediate action for Bradford is certainly possible, though. “And I’ve been with Sam before and I get along great with Sam, and he is a good player, so they added a good player to this roster”. You got to be ready and you’re going just in the blink of an eye.
Assuming Wednesday was another long day, Bradford has easily put in more than 40 hours already, and that’s not counting any time he might be putting in outside of the Vikings’ practice facility in Eden Prairie.
The 2010 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year shared that he had been traded before but not this way where he just needs a couple of days’ practice before the season starts.
“If it’s Bradford, it’s Bradford”, Zimmer said, via The St. Paul Pioneer Press. “That’s the way he took it”. If Bradford plays well then the Vikings can trade him after this year and get some picks back that they lost. “I mean, you prepare like you’re going to be the one to go out there and start on Sunday”. As far as what percentage that is of the playbook, I dont know.
