National Football League owners’ meetings agenda includes Super Bowls, replay changes
With physical distribution of Super Bowl tickets only occurring within the week before the game, short sellers, who sold Super Bowl tickets without having them in hand with the goal to buy them at the last minute for cheaper than they promised them, had capitalized for years. “When we look at who our competitors are now we look at who’s got the newest, brightest and biggest, and for a change it’s us”. Likewise, Los Angeles is slated to open their facility in 2019 and could land the 2020 game.

Los Angeles, which last played host to the league’s marquee game in 1993, is likely to be awarded the game that caps the 2020 season, the league’s 100th anniversary.
While it does have a history of “rewarding” franchises for going modern with their stadiums, very rarely has anyone in the National Football League offices go on record to state that if a city was to build a new stadium that it would then get a Super Bowl in the near future.
“Two years ago we were the favorite”.
Though there is still plenty to work through and many discussions to be had, the thought of the Super Bowl coming back to San Diego should be enticing to those voting.
In January, NFL owners approved Rams owner Stan Kroenke’s plan to move his team from St. Louis to the site of the old Hollywood Park racetrack in Inglewood, Calif., about 10 miles from downtown Los Angeles.
Q: How much does it cost to host the Super Bowl? “It’s definitely our most competitive bid ever, chiefly due to Stephen Ross’ $450-million modernization of the stadium”.
Although Charlotte isn’t on the short list, some say the meeting could impact the city’s Super Bowl future.
And with the Super Bowl morphing into a weeklong celebration, so too has L.A.’s hotel game.
Although Miami-Dade has set itself up to dominate the week of activities, Grossman said the benefit with extend throughout South Florida.
“I think what this is going to do is re-start the talk about when and if Charlotte is going to go after a Super Bowl”, said The Charlotte Business Journal’s Erik Spanberg.

In a Q&A with several Dolphins fan sites, team President and CEO Tom Garfinkel said the South Florida committee has “put together a very impressive bid”. We must continue to peel back the onion on this plan so the public has a chance to see all the layers.
