National Football League suspends Giants’ Beckham for 1 game
Josh Norman and Odell Beckham Jr. got into heated physical altercations during Sunday’s New York Giants vs. Carolina Panthers game.

The NFL announced the suspension late Monday afternoon.
He was called for three personal fouls, one after he intentionally dove into Norman head-first and hit him in the helmet.
Beckham delivered a deliberate shot to the helmet of Norman after the play was over in one incident and they repeatedly were shoving and wrestling with each other.
If guys like Finnegan and Norman are willing to offer up such thinly-veiled assessments of femininity and sexuality when talking publicly about Beckham, would it be a shock to learn they used anti-gay slurs toward Beckham when they thought their words weren’t being recorded?
The Giants trail the Washington Redskins for first place in the NFC East by one game. He is tied for the league lead in touchdowns with 13 and ranks No. 3 in receiving yards with 1,396.
Odell Beckham Jr.is facing a hefty fine and a possible suspension for his antics on Sunday, and the punishment could be handed down as early as today.
The suspension was imposed by NFL Vice President of Football Operations Merton Hanks.
Beckham would miss this Sunday night’s game at the Minnesota Vikings.
It was an ugly game, one that clearly embarrassed the National Football League even though it was impossible for viewers to look away as they wondered what might happen next. “The moment I saw him launch himself the way he did and hit Norman the way he did on the side of the helmet is the moment I kick him off the field”.
After the game, Beckham sidestepped any questions about Norman, only saying it was unfortunate the Giants lost. Beckham will be reinstated on Monday. He would be barred from team meetings, attending or watching practices; attending Sunday’s game; or having contact with any club personnel except to arrange off-site medical treatment or rehabilitation.
‘You’re out there competing against one of the best teams in the league, an undefeated team, ‘ he said.
But for the Giants, if Beckham Jr.is indeed suspended, their already slim playoff hopes would suffer yet another blow. “It was just insane, man”, Norman said.

Beckham made six catches for 76 yards and had the game-tying touchdown grab that capped New York’s 28-point rally and tied the game at 35.
