As those two non-traditional candidates continue to hold the lead, Rubio and Cruz have moved up to become the top contenders among those with more typical political credentials. The remaining Republican candidates all polled below 3%, while 63% of responders to the survey claimed they may still pivot on who to support.

On the Democratic side, 55 percent of likely Democratic caucus goers in Iowa said they would support Hillary Clinton and 37 percent said they would back Sen.

Aside from that, the recent poll also shows that Bernie Sanders would be able to win over Trump with 50 percent versus 41 percent.

“It doesn’t surprise me that both Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton have been seeing hot and cold performances in the polling numbers, to the extent that they are even relevant this early; it’s a year away from the Election Day”, DeBar said.

Many observers figured that Donald Trump would follow that pattern. Among Republicans 18-34, Trump is only at 33 percent to Carson’s 28 percent.

The other head-to-heads are closer: Clinton trails Rubio, 46% to 41%, but tops Trump 46% to 43%, Cruz (46% to 43%) and Christie (46% to 41%).

In terms of favorability, Bush fares worse among Republican voters than any of his primary opponents, with a 47 percent unfavorable rating.

The entire Fox survey was fielded November 1-3, after the last CNBC debate, where Rubio and Cruz impressed. By a margin of 60 to 36-percent American voters say she is not honest and trustworthy.
