The Cedar Bend Humane Society in Waterloo usually doesn’t celebrate National Puppy Day on March 23rd, the actual day, but they do have a special deal this weekend.

“Maybe not a lot of people are aware that shelters and rescues are filled with puppies”, Guinnevere Shuster, photographer and social media coordinator at the Humane Society of Utah, tells CNN. Make sure to check out other shelters in the Triad as well. Time is one of the most important things you can give your new (or even your existing) furry friend.
When it’s time to bring your dog home, give them time to settle in. Loving dogs is a “bipartisan experience”, he said.
Got cats? National Cat Day is October 29, 2015. In these places, the welfare and happiness of the dogs tends to be a far lower priority for the owner than the aim of simply turning a profit. All of the pets adopted from the animal shelter will be spayed or neutered.
