Today is the first day prospective college football players can sign National Letters of Intent.

National Signing Day 2016 is officially here.

Here’s what LSU’s recruiting class has to do with Les Miles’ job security. He’ll make his decision on ESPN’s Signing Day Special at 3:10 p.m. ET (ESPN2). Among the most disappointing aspects of the 7-6 campaign was inconsistency at the quarterback position and a leaky defense that allowed 405.2 total yards of offense per game – which ranked No. 13 in the SEC. “He’s the number one player in the country, so whatever class he joins is going to get a huge boost”.

However, the No. 1 class does not always beget championships. If Freeze lands 5-star defensive end Jeffery Simmons and 4-star safety Deontay Anderson, Ole Miss will stay in the top five. As it happens most often, a good majority of signings will happen in the morning hours, especially with those already committed.
