The Bell 206 helicopter crashed at around 3:30 p.m. on Monday into the mountainous area near Sevierville.
According to Pigeon Force Police Chief Jack Baldwin, the helicopter went down to the side of the mountain and crashed at the foot.
Helicopter tour companies are reassuring people about safety after a helicopter crash killed five people Monday afternoon.
Preliminary findings will be presented next week, but the full investigation could take more than a year, he said. “And like everybody else, I’m thinking ‘Oh, what a sad story, ‘” said Butch Rasmussen. “It does appear that the entire helicopter is at the scene, however it is extremely fragmented due to consumption from post-crash fire. But we’ve been very appreciative of the outpouring of support for he and his family”, Gibbs said.
“We do not know exactly how many adults and how many children were in the helicopter”, he said.
The five dead have still not been identified, John Lott, senior director for Knox County Regional Forensic Center, told CNN on Tuesday morning.
“They talked everyday”, her husband said of Lynne and Johna.
Parker Rasmussen was being home-schooled, and Peyton Rasmussen was attending classes to become a medical technician, he added. “I saw that news report on the news [Monday] night and it showed the trees and the mountains where the crash occurred, and the smoke coming up from the trees”.
Morvant was the daughter of Lynne Frederick of North Platte and the stepdaughter of Lynn’s husband, who also has the first name Lynn.

Schiada said all of the information will be gathered and put into a report that will be forwarded to the NTSB board in Washington, DC.
