National Weather Service called to Donora after heavy wind damage
The stretch of triple-digit heat continues Wednesday with a high near 107, according to the National Weather Service.

The Weather Service issued two tornado warnings in quick succession between 6:15 PM and 6:45 PM Tuesday, first for the southwestern and then southeastern parts of the county. That would be a sharp drop from the highs of 97 and 98 degrees seen this weekend, but still leaves open the possibility of a prolonged heat wave. “Highs today will only be in the upper 70s and lows tonight will be in the lower 70s”, Moore said.
Mother Nature kept OH residents on guard for much of the late morning and afternoon as tornadic thunderstorms rolled through Brown and Adams counties.
The advisory is in effect from noon to 7 p.m. Tuesday for Dauphin, Lebanon, York and Lancaster counties, forecasters said.
Forecasters said any fires that develop amid red flag conditions would likely spread rapidly. Winds are forecast to be 10-15 miles per hour with gusts to 25 miles per hour. Temperatures are expected to fall a little starting Thursday.
No need to build an ark, according to the National Weather Service based in Fort Worth. The winds will begin to diminish Friday evening.

Residents were advised to guard against potentially serious heat-related ailments, stay hydrated, avoid unnecessary outdoor labor and check on neighbors and relatives, especially the elderly. There’s also an increased chance of dehydration and heat stroke.
