Natural disaster hits Nepal, parts of Bihar

An aftershock of 5.5 magnitude was felt in Nepalese Capital Kathmandu and many districts of the Central Nepal at 10 p.m. local time on Friday night. Around 10 people are reportedly injured Anamnagar area of Kathmandu.

The epicenter of the quake was at Sindhupalchowk district located 65 kilometres north of the Himalayan country’s capital city of Kathmandu, according to Nepal Seismological Centre.

ANI reported that due to the natural disaster in Nepal, strong tremors were felt in India – parts of Bihar including Muzaffarpur, Sitamarhi, Bettiah, Darbhanga, Raxaul.

Over 8000 people had lost their lives when a massive 7.9 magnitude natural disaster struck Nepal previous year on April 25.

The constant threat on landslide and minor tremors had forced the homeless families earlier living in Lapark village to move to refugee camps.

The quake in Taiwan left a trail of damages and at least seven people dead and over 400 injured, according to media reports.

2015 quake victims have so far received just $150 in compensation per household.
