Navjot Sidhu launches new political front; blasts Badals, AAP
But he said my wife can contest and will make her a minister. When I had come to Punjab last time and during my visits earlier also, people of the state had warned me, saying when polls will draw near Sukhbir Singh Badal will hatch some conspiracy against you (AAP), CDs will come to fore, accusations will be made, people will protest etc.

He accused Kejriwal of speaking “half truth” as he was told to not contest but only campaign. “I said “Sat shri Akal”, Sidhu said. He also explained, in an address to mediapersons after the launch, why he did not join the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), as was speculated.
Speculations were ripe that Sidhu would join AAP after resigning from BJP but 52-year-old leader stunned everyone when his wife Navjot Kaur Sidhu announced the formation of ‘Awaaz-e-Punjab.’ He now has only 5 months to get his party ready for the assembly elections in Punjab.
AAP’s Punjab co-incharge and Delhi MLA Jarnail Singh also said that by forming the new party, the cricketer-turned-politician has finally accepted that he harbours chief ministerial ambitions. People with selfish interests have overridden interests of the state. There is a tradition in India that good people are kept as decoration pieces and used only for campaigning… He said, “Awaaz e Punjab ek inquilaabi awaaz hai”. “It is a forum for good governance”, Sidhu announced, adding that the forum should be given 15-20 days to work out its future course. The former Rajya Sabha member had on September 2 floated the “Awaaz-e-Punjab” front.
Other members of the new front include former Indian hockey team captain Pargat Singh, a legislator of Punjab’s ruling Shiromani Akali Dal, and two independent legislators, Balwinder Singh Bains and Simarjeet Singh Bains. “I wanted to know his intentions and his aim”, Sidhu said.
“Let me make one thing very clear”. “At this stage “Awaaz e Punjab” is not a party, it’s a forum”.
“My resignation as the BJP MP from Rajya Sabha has nothing to do with Kejriwal”.

Sidhu alleged both Badal and Amarinder Singh (Punjab Congress chief) are two sides of one coin. They (AAP) are Bholi surat dil ke khote, naam bade aur darshan chhote, ‘ said Sidhu.
