Navy QB Breaks FBS Rushing TD record
It didn’t take long for Navy quarterback Keenan Reynolds to break the NCAA record for rushing touchdowns.

That feat was accomplished just nine minutes into Saturday’s game against SMU as Reynolds ran the ball in from four yards out to become the NCAA’s all-time leader in rushing touchdowns with 78.
Reynolds shattered the mark held by Montee Ball, who ran for 77 TDs with Wisconsin from 2009-12.
He may have broken the record early in the game, but Reynolds was nowhere near finished.
Saturday’s game marked senior day and Reynolds’ last official home game for the Midshipmen.
Reynolds added three more rushing touchdowns, finishing with 137 yards on 14 carries, and threw for another to keep the Midshipmen, ranked 20th in the College Football Playoff poll, tied for first place with unbeaten Houston in the American Athletic Conference West Division. Gansz played for the Midshipmen from 1957-59 and was an assistant coach at Navy and SMU….
It was the 78th rushing touchdown in the illustrious career of Reynolds, a senior from Antioch, Tennessee.
SMU was finally able to put a drive together on the next series, capped off with a Matt Davis 1 yard touchdown on 3rd and goal to make the score 28-7 going into the half.

Navy defense did its part too, forcing a turnover for the 16th straight game when junior safety Daiquan Thomasson collected the first interception of his career.
