Nawaz Sharif announced a day and KP govt three day mourning

He is also skipping a visit to Davos for the World Economic Forum to avoid another meeting with his Pakistan counterpart Nawaz Sharif, though he had promised the organisers that he would travel to Switzerland.

Nawaz Sharif said as we came into the rule the three biggest challenges were present economic revival, energy shortage and scourge of terrorism which we wanted to eliminate.

He said our resolve to fight against terror became stronger despite we suffered severely.

“We addressed all the issues and witnessed success in many economic spheres and now the militancy is reducing and economy is growing”.

“Strongly condemn the terror attack at Bacha Khan University in Pakistan”.

Sharif said the government has a lot of money due to oil price decline, although it had benefited hugely from the low prices in terms of decline in the electricity prices and other factors.

Noting that revenue is increasing, he said a very good turnaround is taking place in Pakistan. He said more than half of the world’s population was going to gain from the CPEC that would link many countries and regions to boost trade.

He said Pakistan’s economy was on the right track and his country was getting an investment of 46 billion United States dollars from China alone.

He said that his government was trying to overcome terrorism and power crisis, adding that the ongoing military offensive against the terrorists is producing satisfactory results. Both the leaders appreciated the resolve of the Pakistani nation in its war against terrorism and extremism, besides reviewing the peace and reconciliation process in Afghanistan.

The prime minister said seventy percent population of Pakistan are below of thirty years and we are creating jobs with the help of private sector.
