Remaining in the denial mode, Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has criticised India for its assertion that his country was behind the Uri attack. If the central government takes any decision in this regard, the state government will definitely support it, he said.
Earlier, Pakistan’s High Commissioner to India Abdul Basit was summoned to the External Affairs Ministry in New Delhi.
The UN Human Rights Council’s pledge to send a similar delegation also echoed at the General Assembly and Pakistan invited it to send the team to Azad Kashmir to expose India’s claims about that part of the region.

Former India captain Sourav Ganguly echoed BCCI Chief Anurag Thakur’s comments on India-Pakistan cricket, when the latter said that there is no point in talking of resuming cricketing ties until Pakistan stops cross-border terrorism in India. They want India to honour this treaty on the basis of it being an global treaty.
“Pakistan does not understand that terrorism, which it sponsors, will ultimately affect it more. We can’t even think of such thing (playing cricket with Pakistan)”, said Thakur.
