NBA Free Agency 2016: Kevin Durant to meet with 6 teams

In a report by ESPN, Anthony said on Monday that he already started recruiting Durant and that they are talking. But past year nobody was talking about us hanging out, going to work out or going to dinner or things like that.

“I don’t know (if I’ll meet with the Knicks)”.

Other teams hoping to meet with Durant include the Miami Heat, Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Clippers, New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers. Noticeably missing from the list is Durant’s hometown team, the Washington Wizards, and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Durant has been in New York City for several days for the unveiling of the 19-man squad for the USA Basketball team that will represent the United States at the Rio de Janeiro Summer Olympics. “Potential suitors for DurantKnicks’ fans should take solace in the fact that Anthony’s pitch doesn’t include a wonky PowerPoint presentation – which certainly didn’t help the Knicks in their pursuit of LeBron James in 2010″.

“Another agent thinks, in the case of Durant, the club that wants to pry him away from the Thunder “needs to be a good team, in a better market with a better chance to win than OKC”, the Oklahoman’s Erik Horne reported”. Durant’s been in NY in advance of the 2016 Olympic team being unveiled.

Besides Anthony’s recruitment attempt, there are rumors stating that Durant was intrigued by the Knicks after they added Derrick Rose following a trade with the Chicago Bulls. But the face of the Knicks franchise is attempting to recruit Durant to make Manhattan his next home. He also called Rose a great player and said that he is excited to see what the former MVP can do in NY.

Kevin Durant in my opinion resigns with the Thunder for two years and an opt-out after one.

Based on the team’s current status, they could consider releasing a different player, making salary cuts, or let go of its plans to get either Whiteside or Wade just to sign the small forward from the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Durant, 27, has spent his entire nine-year career with the Thunder.

Draft over, and now the Summer of Durant has arrived
