The television commercials, which will air during Friday’s Christmas Day games, feature the NBA’s logo, as well as some of its brightest stars, including Chicago’s Joakim Noah.

However, the NBA’s president of social responsibility and player programs Kathleen Behrens said: “We’re not anxious about any political implications”.
The campaign also features 35 gun violence survivors from all across the USA, with numerous survivors sharing personal stories about gun violence, and basketball.
When Curry heard about a three-year-old girl who was shot to death, he immediately thought of his daughter Riley.
In an unusual move, the National Basketball Association put its weight behind the campaign and agreed to work with Everytown for Gun Safety, a non-profit advocacy group backed by Bloomberg, the former mayor of New York City and loud gun safety proponent. “And we can do something about it”.
“My parents used to say, ‘A bullet doesn’t have a name on it, ‘” Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul says in the ad.

Gun rights proponents argue that high rates of gun ownership can help deter violence by making criminals fearful of the consequences of their actions.
The ads focus on shooting victims and contain no policy recommendations with the words “gun control” never mentioned.
Said Anthony: “All over America people are exhausted of daily gun violence”.

“But because of the NRA, politicians and the gun manufacturers, we’re dying under that tyranny”, Lee told The Times. Basketball brought me to a different route in my life, but every kid should have an outlet to reach his or her full potential.
