It said it hopes to hold the 2019 game in Charlotte “provided there is an appropriate resolution to this matter”, CNN reports.

Call it the business of tolerance.
During its yearly work session that ended on July 1, the General Assembly restored the ability of workers to use state law to sue over employment discrimination on the basis of race, religion and other factors – but left gender identity and sexual orientation unprotected.
The league objects to the state’s House Bill 2, which limits anti-discrimination protections for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in the state.
But alas, timing isn’t everything.
The NBA initially declined to move the game, but announced the decision to relocate on Thursday.
He said that Houston hosted this year’s Final Four soon after voters in that city rejected an expanded nondiscrimination ordinance that’s similar to Charlotte’s.
“The PGA of America strongly opposes North Carolina HB2”, the organization said in a statement that followed the NBA’s decision to yank its mid-season showcase event.
Silver did confirm in Thursday’s statement that Charlotte would host the game in 2019, but there was a catch. I don’t have a great understanding of the transgender community.
In the interview, McCrory said, “For those people – who I sincerely care for – who have gender identity and gender expression “issues” that they’re dealing with, we ought to make reasonable accommodations for them”.
The measure also requires transgender individuals to use the bathroom that corresponds with their birth certificate when using bathrooms or locker rooms owned by governments such as public schools or universities.
In a statement released yesterday, the National Basketball Association listed the “core values of [the] league” to include “diversity, inclusion, fairness, respect for others… willingness to listen and consider opposing points of view”.
The PGA of America threatens to move future events out of North Carolina because of its opposition to North Carolina’s anti-LGBT law, but stops short of pulling next year’s PGA Championship out of the Tar Heel State.
“We understand the NBA’s decision and the challenges around holding the NBA All-Star Game in Charlotte this season”.
The NBA didn’t announced what city would replace Charlotte in hosting the game.

The league is now seeking other cities to host the All-Star game, with New Orleans, Louisiana as the early favorite to host on February 19 at the Smoothie King Center.
