Kaepernick is biracial and was adopted shortly after birth, according to the San Jose Mercury News.

Colin Kaepernick has become the contentious face of defiance in the NFL after pledging to protest the national anthem.

“He cannot understand what I face and what other young black men and black people face, or people of color face, on a [daily] basis”, Harrison, who has been with NBC Sports since 2009, continued.

Now you don’t have to believe that Harrison had no clue Kaepernick was black, although I’m not sure how great of a cop out that is for anyone to make up.

During a radio appearance, Rodney Harrison stated “I tell you this, I’m a black man”.

Harrison went on to describe walking into a store and having people look at him, as if he were going to steal something, despite having a large sum of money in his pocket, and wanting to make a purchase.

He made the controversial comments as the backlash against Kaepernick for refused to stand for the national anthem before a pre-season game continued. The article was written by Peter Wade, and gave me some things to think about. “He can not understand what I face and what other young black men and black people or people of color face on a every single (day) basis when you walk in the grocery store, and you might have two or three thousand dollars in your pocket and you go up into a Foot Locker and they’re looking at you like you’re about to steal something”.

Kaepernick, who is biracial, created a media firestorm last week when he chose to remain seated during the national anthem before a preseason game as an act of protest. “It was a mistake and I apologize”. “God bless”, Harrison tweeted. Rodney must have had second thoughts about coming after Colin so hard for his race, cause after the interview, Rodney posted these tweets on his social media stating that he didn’t mean, “to be hurtful to anyone”.

‘Last point I want people to know. Now I’m not saying that Kaepernick is Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks, or even Muhammad Ali.
