The South Korean electronics giant, Samsung has released a statement on Monday claiming that its Galaxy Note 7 smartphone in China didn’t explode due to problem in battery.

Samsung has sold 2.5 million phones equipped with the suspect batteries, and the recall may cost it upwards of $1 billion (£770 million).
Last Sunday, a Chinese magazine cited an online report which said that a user’s Galaxy Note 7 had caught fire, making it the first such incident to take place in China.
“Test results show that the fire is not directly connected to the battery produced by our company”, parts manufacturer, Amperex Technology Limited, said.
Got a Samsung Galaxy Note 7 and live in the United Kingdom or Ireland?
In announcing its global recall on September 2, Samsung did not initially say whether consumers could continue to use the Note 7 phones without danger. “There is a large probability that other outside factors were the cause of the heating problem”.
The replacement for Note 7 in USA will be available from Wednesday onward.

Safety officials have urged Note 7 owners to turn off their phones and return them immediately. Fret ye not, for Samsung today announced an exchange programme, whereby you get a replacement “phablet” courtesy of the provider you bought it from.
Finally, you can use Samsung’s dedicated Note 7 Recall webpage to enter your phone’s IMEI and find out if it’s safe.
Regulators issued the recall last week after dozens of people reported that the Note 7 caught fire while charging.
Going forward, Samsung is rolling out safer Galaxy Note 7 devices with a square symbol on the packaging of the box to indicate a newer and safer model. So the question is, when will sales of the Note 7 resume?
