Pat Forde of Yahoo Sports reported the news Friday.

There’s bad timing, and there’s bad timing coming a few days before National Signing Day when Ole Miss is bringing in a fantastic recruiting class.

While that call for emails may not have produced anything concrete at the time, it seems further investigations by the NCAA have dug up infractions the NCAA deemed illegal.

In October 2014, Forde initially broke the news that Ole Miss was under investigation, mainly for alleged violations related to the women’s basketball team.

Freeze vehemently fought anyone and everyone who dared question how he and the program could beat out all the other top SEC programs for so many elite talents – daring the naysayers to come up with any proof of wrongdoing – claiming it was all sour grapes from rival coaches and fan bases.

The Rebels are 34-18 in four seasons under Freeze, including a 10-win season in 2015 that featured a victory over Alabama and a Sugar Bowl triumph.

This past football season, MS offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil – one of the highest-rated recruits in program history – sat out seven games for accepting impermissible benefits.

Sports that the school is facing about 30 violations.

Ole Miss athletic director Ross Bjork released a statement regarding the violations. If an agreement can not be met between the NCAA and Ole Miss, a hearing date will be set with the Committee on Infractions.
