Nearly 15000 new Clinton emails gleaned in FBI probe
“We’re trying to work with the State Department here, but let’s be clear: They have slow-walked and stonewalled the release of these records”, he said. 22, 2016, it is reviewing almost 15,000 previously undisclosed emails recovered as part of the FBI’s now-closed investigation into the handling of sensitive information that flowed through Hillary Clinton’s private home server.

These are all emails that Clinton sent or received during her tenure as secretary of state, and they were not among the 55,000 documents turned over by her lawyers previous year.
The 14,900 emails are just part of thousands the Federal Bureau of Investigation has turned over, after it took control of Mrs. Clinton’s secret email server. Judicial Watch had sought all emails sent or received by Clinton at the State Department in a request made under the federal Freedom of Information Act, which covers the release of public records.
Judicial Watch filed the lawsuit in May 2015 after disclosures that Clinton had exclusively used a personal email server while secretary from 2009 to 2013.
Lisa Olson, the attorney representing the State Department, said that officials don’t know yet what portion of the new emails are work-related and which are of a personal nature, and said it would be “extremely ambitious” for the department to release the first batch of emails to Judicial Watch by October 14.
“The total – confirmed by the Justice Department – was disclosed by a conservative legal group after the State Department said last week that it would hand over the emails”. GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump routinely criticizes Clinton for her handling of emails containing classified information. The judge ordered the department to focus its efforts on processing the emails from the first disk and to report back to him on its progress by September 22. Rather, he said she “periodically deleted e-mails or e-mails were purged from the system when devices were changed”.

On Friday Clinton scored a minor victory against Judicial Watch when a judge said she could answer questions from Judicial Watch lawyers in writing and did not have to be deposed.
