Nebraska deputy jumps into moving truck after driver passes out

Officers in Madison County, Nebraska were in hot pursuit of a massive dump truck for twelve miles before the chase can to a dramatic end. You can see from the dashcam footage from the auto behind that Sergeant Volk and his deputy speed to get ahead of the truck.

The man’s blood sugar had dropped to a severely low level, and he didn’t know that he was diabetic before this happened.

Volk told WOWT 6 News that the Madison County Sheriff had dispatched a number of “follow” vehicles to clear the path of the truck.

‘As we got closer to Norfolk, the vehicle began to slow down and we were coming in on Highway 81 past the airport. He believed it was the last place he’d have a chance to stop the truck.

A police officer in the United States has run through traffic to leap onto the side of a swerving truck after its driver lost control.

“We needed to get that big rig”.

In the video, Volk is seen running across the highway and leaps onto the running board of the truck.

The driver of the vehicle was having a diabetic episode, before Sgt. Volk’s intervention brought the truck to a halt.

He was given glucose by paramedics before being taken to hospital where he is expected to make a full recovery.
