Need to eradicate ‘cancer’ called Pakistan, says Baloch activist
Indian officials say about seven paramilitary troops have been wounded, three critically, after assailants attacked them in Srinagar, the main city of Indian-administered Kashmir. It’s time to cut that jugular vein.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi gestures as he delivers his Independence Day speech from The Red Fort in New Delhi on August 15, 2016. “People of Balochistan are loyal and patriotic… they love Pakistan and will never support the nefarious designs of the country’s enemies”, he said. “Modi said as much during the all-party meeting on Kashmir recently, and I think that’s a clever formulation”, Bhushan said.
The region is divided between India and Pakistan and claimed in entirety by both.
“We must bring the focus of human rights bodies on these regions”, he added. Balochistan is not a disputed area; it is not an issue between us and Pakistan.
Encouraged by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s supportive words, leaders of the Baloch nationalist movement have sought support from the USA and European countries against the oppressive Pakistani regime. Anti-India feelings run strong in Muslim-majority Indian-Kashmir, where most people favor independence or a merger with Pakistan. In 2009, Singh had met the then Pakistan prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani and had come up with a joint statement that also had a mention of Balochistan, which was severly criticised by the BJP which was in the Opposition. He urged the Pakistani government to adopt a solid policy on Kashmir and hold result-oriented dialogue with India.
Dilshad Baloch further said the Pakistani army, with the help of the government, is conducting genocide against the Baloch people.
Asserting that it was matter of concern that Prime Minister Modi was comparing Kashmir issue with Balochistan, Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam said the former should not take up two issues together.
“Mr. Modi was only trying to divert world attention from the grim tragedy that has been unfolding in Indian-occupied Kashmir over the past five weeks”, said Aziz, referring to Modi’s comments.
India has accused Islamabad of arming and training the terrorists fighting to end Indian rule in Jammu and Kashmir.

Bugti has high hopes from India and feels that the nation will do the necessary when Balochistan is in need, said the PTI report.
