Witnesses said they saw an olive green, older model, four-door Jeep speeding away from a nearby parking lot right after the robbery.

The roughly 11-mile chase began after a South Windsor officer spotted a suspect run from the First Niagara Bank branch on Buckland Road just as the robbery was reported, police said. Police ordered Anderson to stop, but he continued to move towards the officers. Police said he had something in his hand and rushed the officers.

A Manchester police officer discharged his Taser, hitting the suspect.

After the teller gave him money, the robber fled eastbound, police said. The suspect then advanced on the officers, and two of them, another Manchester officer and a state trooper, opened fire, Davis said.

West Hartford Police Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect pictured above and there is a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to his arrest.

At about 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Troopers from Troop K- Colchester responded to the area of Route 44 near Bolton Notch to assist with a vehicle pursuit that started in South Windsor.
