Neil Cavuto Schools Student Who Wants Free College
National coordinator for the Million Student March Keely Mullen is stumped by FOX Business Network’s Neil Cavuto on how she would fund “demands” to forgive over $1 trillion in student debt, free public college, and a $15 minimum wage for students employed on campus. Mullen then responded by saying, “I mean, there’s always gonna be a one percent in the U.S. The U.S.is like the bastion of capitalism and its success”.

Mullen did say the rate should be raised to “enough until we have a system where not one in two families are threatened with poverty”.
Best moment: When Cavuto asks her if she would be willing to pay a little bit more in taxes to support these free things.
“Um, the one percent of people in society”, she said, “that are hoarding the wealth and really sort of causing a catastrophe that students are facing”.
Mullen is a graduate of the prestigious Francis W. Parker School and political science student at Northeastern University, according to her LinkedIn profile. “Great question. Uh… you know so…”
“Yeah, I don’t believe that”, Mullen said in response. Let’s say if you tax these folks – they’re smart people, these one-percent hoarders – so if they leave here, who’s going to pay for all this stuff that you want?
Cavuto pointed out that the nation’s top earners have already seen their tax rate jump twice in recent years, as well as a deep cut in the deductions they are allowed to declare.
Toward the end of the interview, Cavuto told Mullen taxing the 1 percent on 100 percent of their income would only yield “about one trillion” toward any entitlement program. You wouldn’t volunteer to pay 90 percent, right?
MULLEN: Absolutely, 85 people in the world hold more wealth than half of the global population.

The interview was then picked up and distributed widely by conservative media.
