Neil Magny Vs. Kelvin Gastelum Fight
His only loss during this 9-1 run was via second-round submission to Demian Maia at UFC 190 in August.

The 28-year-old won for the ninth time in 10 fights with a split decision over Kelvin Gastelum in the main event of “The Ultimate Fighter Latin America 2 Finale” card in Monterrey, Mexico on Saturday night. Magny, a rangy welterweight, has similar aspirations for a UFC title as his opponent, and he believes a win over Gastelum will put him on the right path to title contention. Magny didn’t hesitate and despite being a decided underdog, he ended up pulling out a split-decision win.
Neil Magny and Kelvin Gastelum are ready to square off south of the border. Gutierrez will be competing for the first time in a pro fight in well over a year and his lone career loss until this point came by disqualification.
Lamas has won two of his last three under the UFC banner and he lost his only two main event fights in the promotion. That was never more evident than the final eight fights on Saturday night’s card from Mexico with all of them ending in a decision after a fairly thrilling preliminary card that featured three first-round knockouts.
Sanchez, as per usual, refused to go out quietly. The Team Alpha Male fighter, who was one of the main figures in the famous Conor McGregor incited schmozzle on a recent episode of TUF, put Benitez away with a head-kick and a brutal follow-up barrage of punches.
As Joe Rogan once said “Diego Sanchez is a savage”. His size advantage will certainly serve him well in the lower weight division, and it’ll be interesting to see who the UFC pairs him up with next.
Henry Cejudo spoke following his win at UFC Fight Night 78 about possibly fighting in Las Vegas, which he previously said he won’t do because of Nick Diaz’s suspension, and more. In this upcoming matchup, Neil Magny will take on Kelvin Gastelum in Monterrey, Mexico. Formiga threw great kicks throughout the bout, but really struggled to land much significant offense.
Taking the smart route and not engaging in a sloppy brawl with Sanchez was exactly the right thing to do for Lamas and he earned a very strong victory as a result of great game planning and high Octagon IQ.
Cejudo (10-0) is now an undefeated MMA fighter.
