George also played an amusing game of Never Have I Ever with Ellen and Rihanna, during which he admitted to getting drunk before noon and swimming naked in a lake near his home in Lake Como. “I hate men.’ I just think that I just have so much on my plate that I can’t even find the time to entertain a steady relationship or anything serious, or even a text”, she tells Ellen. For a personal touch, he even had his late aunt Rosemary Clooney’s song “Why Shouldn’t I” playing in the background.
He said he told her to grab a box that he put the ring in, but when she opened it she didn’t get that it was for her. And she comes in and she’s just come back from London. “And because she’s seen me working behind the camera a lot, she’s seen that it’s an ongoing process”.
“I called the lady up and I said, “On Christmas Eve, can you deliver this dog to my parents” house?’ Because what are [they] going to do, kick a handicapped dog out of the house? I don’t know. I’m doing all the moves you can do with my face”.
Amal, 38, didn’t catch on, though – until she saw the ring.
