There has been yet another tragedy in Nepal.

Deadly crashes are relatively common in Nepal because of poor roads, badly maintained vehicles and reckless driving.
Gelal added that the bus was packed because of a severe fuel shortage in the country that resulted in limited transportation services, AP reported.
The crammed bus was heading towards Rasuwa district, 150 kms north of Kathmandu when the driver lost control and the vehicle fell a few 150 metres down the hilly road in Ramche village, police said.
Nepali police are investigating the fatal bus accident.
So far, authorities have said “at least” 20 people have died – including one child.
Deputy Superintendent of Police, Abadesh Bista, said that more than 20 passengers have been sent to Kathmandu and the remaining to the District Hospital, Dhunche, for treatment.

Ethnic protesters have blocked a key border point with India since September, which has prevented the import of fuel and other supplies. More fatalities were expected. Tragically, another bus accident involving 15 deaths occurred less than a month before. Overcrowding is also suspected as a factor in that accident.
