Netflix adds 3D Touch support, new features
Netflix has pushed out an update for its iOS app, adding some requested features like iPad Pro optimization but leaving out others, namely picture-in-picture support, much to users’ disappointment.

Many Apple iPhone users love email app Spark because of its “Smart Inbox” that automatically filters unread emails by importance. Additionally, users will get the option to select HD streaming and there will also be a data-saving mode, which will let the streaming quality to drop below 1080p when required. After the update, images that took a while to load will appear a lot faster.
Speaking toBusiness Insider at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Netflix’s vice president of product innovation Chris Jaffe said these are just the first of many changes Netflix had planned for the year ahead.

Version 8.0.0 also updates the interface for iPad Pro tablets, with an enhanced layout for the Pro’s giant 2732 x 2048 resolution screen. Additionally, a second screen experience, which has reportedly been in development for a number of years, will soon allow viewers to use their Android and iOS devices as a secondary device when watching content on Netflix.

The update will begin on Android and Chromecast, with iOS and other systems and gaming consoles that use the smartphone to control the TV set to follow.
