The beloved Gilmore Girls will finally return to television on November 25 – and it might not be for the last time.

“We love her. We always knew we were going to figure it out”. “[His death] gave the show a depth and an emotional complexity that made it feel like, ‘Here’s the show grown up, ‘ even more”, Graham said. And a brief clip shows that Luke’s and the Dragonfly Inn are still up-and-running, and so is Lorelei’s weird brain, as she and her daughter argue about whether Amy Schumer would like her.

Does this bode well for her future and the series?

Now that Schumer has responded, I’ll just be here waiting for late night talk show host John Oliver to answer whether he thinks Lorelai is hot.

The Gilmore Girls co-creator was vocal about Netflix’s decision to debut the entire season at once, showing her disappointment in the move. “It’s going to mean a lot less if you just flip to the last page”, she said at the TCAs. Netflix announced on Wednesday that the series (in its entirety) will premiere on Friday, Nov. 25. “I mention that because it plays into all of the choices the characters are making”. “It’s great when people focus on those things, her ambitions…” “It’s what it is, right now”, said Sherman-Palladin. “Everyone wants everyone to hate each other now”. After shots of the iconic Stars Hollow pan the screen, we are greeted with our favourite mother-daughter duo as they discuss pop culture over – what else – a cup of coffee. But it was inevitable, she added.

But before the Gilmores start leading where we will follow (theme song reference!), Netflix will be premiering additional original content. “It made it ideal”. She was best with Dean during the first two seasons because he was her first love and boyfriend. someone to show her that there was more to life then books.
