Okay, maybe I should slow down a bit. Or maybe I’m insane and everything will turn out fine. “But for us, there’s still more story here, there’s still things that are unresolved”. Why 9 and not 10?

We’ll get to see a return to the Upside Down in season two, so there’s that to look forward to as well. “I think we talked like a larger time jump where the kids are older now and it’s a different decade”. In addition, the Duffers revealed to Entertainment Weekly that the upcoming episodes will introduce four new characters and venture outside of Hawkins to new locations.

Nearly immediately following the announcement, Entertainment Weekly published an interview with creators the Duffer Brothers to get to scoop on Season 2.

Adds Ross, “Just like we treated the first season like a big movie, we wanna treat this like a big movie as well and we don’t wanna coast on these characters”.

Fans also have the lingering questions after season 1 of whether or not Demogorgon was the only monster.
