Netflix Is Tricking Kids Into an Early Bedtime This New Year’s
And if you choose to outright trick those kids by hiding all the clocks, pressing play on the fake countdown and scooting them off early to bed, who are we to judge?

The short videos are based off several Netflix kids’ shows and movies, including “Puffin Rock”, “Care Bears & Cousins”, “Inspector Gadget”, “King Julien”, “Mr. Peabody and Sherman” and “Project Mc2”. If you don’t want the kids staying up till midnight on New Year’s Eve no problem.
The streaming video service is bringing back an on-demand New Year’s Eve countdown that allows users to celebrate the holiday earlier than midnight.
Netflix’s data also found a whopping 97% of parents across the globe are spending New Year’s Eve as a family. Sixty-seven percent of USA parents said they’d like to spend it with their significant others. The kids don’t have to know it’s not really midnight. A sample of 9,128 parents in the US, UK, France, Canada, Australia, Brazil, Italy, Spain , and Mexico were interviewed and must have had at least one child age 12 or under in the household to qualify for the survey.

If you have Netflix, you will not have to wait until midnight to ring in the new year. 41% of U.S. parents have or plan to use a special New Year’s Eve countdown as a way to get their kids to bed early.
