For launching its service in India, the company has partnered with an unknown telecom operator for 4G network. Reliance has announced its 4G services, but as of now, they are available for its employees only.
Netflix’s service is already popular in over 50 countries with around 62 million subscribers.

Seems like the video-streaming giant that is moving to other countries worldwide wants to take advantage of high-speed 4G LTE services that will replace existing 3G connections on mobile devices. Netflix, which features both movies and TV shows, charges its service to users at $8.99 (roughly Rs. 600) per month. The official launch of Netflix will put an end to piggybackers who make use of third party tools to obtain access to the services.

With growing demand, there are many players in the market offering many types of VoD services like DTH Service Providers (Tata Sky, Dish TV and Videocon DTH), Media Companies (Hotstar, Eros Now and BigFlix), Independent VoD companies (Spuul and Muvi) and Video on demand on cable TV (QWIK entertainment). When it launches officially, it might offer subscriptions at a cheaper rate for competing with the rivals. Netflix Inc will focus on developing its own content next year and almost double the number of original shows to 31 from 16, its chief content officer Ted Sarandos said recently. It also has its original content such as award-winning House of Cards, Orange Is the New Black, and the movie Beasts of No Nation.
