Netflix Officially Announces Season 2 of Stranger Things with Teaser Video

Stranger Things Season 2 will be produced by 21 Laps for Netflix. This gives Netflix all the more reason to create more episodes, after all, it’s something that subscribers want and are willing to pay for. It was Winona Ryder’s big television debut and it worked, as so many people have been talking about how fantastic Stranger Things is.

It’s also indicated that “the adventure continues” in the fall of 1984, after the action of the first season unfolded in the autumn of 1983.

“I don’t think we ever thought anthology”, says Ross Duffer.

Before the renewal was announced, the Duffer brothers also spoke at the Television Critics Association press tour, telling reporters that there’s more to the story and they hope they get to tell it. Creators and executive producers Matt and Ross Duffer will return for the second season, but Netflix has not confirmed if the cast from the first season would be back. “There’s a comfort factor in that we know people love and have responded to this world and these characters”.

“We really don’t go in there much until they go in to find Will at the end”, he added. After all, season 2 is not slated to come out until we roll around to 2017.

Considering that the series freshman season dropped in mid-July, fans will likely have to wait until Summer 2017 for the series 9-episode sophomore season to rollout on Netflix.
