Netflix Original Narcos Renewed For Two More Seasons

Wagner’s performance as the Colombian drug lord was one of the biggest reasons for the show’s popularity but with the conclusion of his character’s story, there were questions whether the series will continue.

Newman gave a preview on what the third season of “Narcos” would look like and mentioned that it is time to shift the attention of the viewers to the Cali cartel. Pedro and Boyd also serve as series consultants. José Padilha and Eric Newman, the show’s executive producers, have long claimed that their show is not just about Escobar, focussing instead on the developing War on Drugs first announced by Richard Nixon in 1971.

Pedro Pascal (of Game of Thrones) and Boyd Holbrook played DEA agents who help take Pablo down. The first season was aired in 2015 with ten episodes and was shot in Colombia.

Also at the latter half of the second season, we see Javi get into trouble by the round-about ways he used to get to Pablo and was shipped back to the U.S. for a review hearing. After its release, the critics acknowledged the second season on a larger scale and was quite impressed with it. The second season focuses more on the intense manhunt that ensued following Escobar’s disappearance into the jungle. But the death of the Columbian kingpin, Escobar, won’t mean the end of the acclaimed of the highly praised drama, as a brand new trailer for “Narcos” season 3 was recently revealed on Netflix’s Youtube page, featuring another notorious crime lord. Fans will have to wait until 2017 to watch “Narcos” season 3. However, a tentative release date for both season 3 and season 4 has not been confirmed yet.
