Netflix Releases Trailer For Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword Of Destiny
Adventure, drama, martial arts – Netflix does it all. There also looks to be plenty of impressive, impossible action sequences involving gravity defying flips and spins, and lots of kicked props.

Chinese martial arts movie director Yuen Woo-ping is behind the camera, replacing Ang Lee, who directed the Oscar-winning original 2000 film. And then there’s the tiresome subtitled that nearly sounds like a parody (hi, Tenacious D) and the completely lazy tagline, “The past returns with a vengeance”.

Crouching Tiger, HIdden Dragon: Sword of Destiny is now set for a February 26 release on Netflix and in select IMAX theaters. A “Bad Moon Rising” cover rendered by someone who sounds like the throat-singing, auto-tuned love child of Nick Cave and Tom Waits! The first trailer for what is now called Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword Of Destiny is online and can be viewed below. Starring Donnie Yen, Michelle Yeoh, Harry Shum, Jr., Jason Scott Lee, Roger Yuan, Eugenia Yuan, JuJu Chan, Chris Pang, Shuya Chang and Natasha Liu Bordizzo, check out the first preview below. Based on the final book in Wang Dulu’s Crane-Iron pentalogy, Iron Knight, Silver Vase, the sequel is centered around an all-powerful sword – The Green Destiny – and Yeoh’s character’s efforts to protect it from an evil warlord.
