Netflix’s next Marvel show ‘Jessica Jones’ is coming in November
The series was aimed at a more mature audience and allowed writers to expose the gritty underbelly of the Marvel Universe. Season 1 will consist of 13 episodes.

After all four series premieres, the superheroes will then team up for an EPIC new series called Marvel’s The Defenders. Marvel announced this morning that “Marvel’s Jessica Jones” will debut on Netflix, later this fall, on November 20.
In the teaser trailer, as the Of Monsters and Men’s song “Thousand Eyes” drones with haunting beauty, we are awash in blurred purples and oranges that are true to Alias cover artist David Mack and his liquid tints.
For those who don’t know the background of Jessica Jones, she was an orphan with superpowers.
Jessica Jones is set to premiere later this year on November 20th, watch the teaser trailer above.
On a scale from 1 to 10, how excited are you for Marvel’s Jessica Jones? In high school she had a secret crush on Peter Parker, a.k.a. Spider-Man., though it’s unclear if he’ll appear in the show now that he’s officially part of Marvel’s Cinematic Universe. The show is actually based on Marvel’s “Alias” comics written from 2001 through 2004.
Marvel has two more series to come under its Netflix deal: “Luke Cage” and “Iron Fist”.
Nor is Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones) included in the trailer, but that just increases the anticipation. Carrie-Anne Moss is Harper, another potential ally for Jessica. Mike Colter (from Million Dollar Baby) will be playing Luke Cage, and Rachel Taylor is Patricia “Trish” Walker, Jessica’s best friend. Eka Darville, Erin Moriarty, and Wil Traval round out the cast.
Meanwhile, Rosario Dawson is set to make a guest appearance during the season as Claire Temple, her character from Daredevil.

The showrunner for “Jessica Jones” is Melissa Rosenberg, a veteran of Showtime’s “Dexter” and the Twilight films. All four characters from the shows will ultimately lead into Marvel’s The Defenders.
