Netflix’s Stranger Things Is Back for Season Two

Stranger Things is returning for a second season on Netflix. “It’s open-ended in a way that if people wanted it, and Netflix wanted it, we could explore it and continue the story line”.

“For us, there’s still more story here [in the 1980s], there’s still things that are unresolved”, Ross Duffer said, which means that everyone’s favorite kids will be back – or at least majority.

For those who already watched the ending of Season 1, you witnessed that Will (Noah Schnapp) is safe and alive. While the list could be nicknames for characters, it seems more likely that these are the titles of the nine confirmed episodes of season two.

The first season of Stranger Things saw a young boy disappear in a small town in Indiana.

“I don’t think we ever thought anthology”, states Ross Duffer, revealing that the second season will take place in 1984. Millie Bobby Brown, who plays the role of the “Eleven”, a child with psychokinetic gifts, shared an Instagram post with the caption, “Stranger Things Season 2 has been confirmed”. As for the setting, Matt confirms that they will venture out a little this time.

But have no fear: the Season Two trailer is here!

“There’s going to be a lot of new and interesting dynamics that we didn’t see in season one”, Matt Duffer told Entertainment Weekly shortly after the announcement. “There’s a lot more mystery there to be solved.” says Ross. (Though, Netflix could try to capitalize on the series success and schedule Season 2’s debut in the first half of the year instead). So, expect to see the return of Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Joyce (Winona Ryder), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), etc.
