According to the report, Netflix shows tend to premiere on a Friday as this has been the same practice done for their other original shows such as “House of Cards”, “Daredevil” and “Orange Is the New Black”.

Season 1 of Narcos is available for members to stream instantly on Netflix in Ultra HD 4K. The first season was released in August 2015.

They should also be aware, though, that the main protagonist-antagonist of the series is going to meet his end in season 2. If somehow Netflix’s latest phenomenon flew under your radar, Narcos centers around Pablo Escobar (Wagner Moura) and chronicles his rise to power thanks to his distribution of cocaine while also exploring his relationship with outside entities and political aspirations.

The second season will arriving only a couple weeks past the one-year mark since the show’s premiere. Season one ended on Escobar escaping from prison, so season two should offer an intense on-the-run storyline (we didn’t Wikipedia it).

'Narcos' season 2 release date: Season rumored to launch Aug. 26
